Clothes & Coats for Cuties provides school uniforms and coats to underserved elementary students in Cloverleaf and surrounding communities.
We collaborate with the counselors at 7 of the 15 elementary schools in Galena Park Independant School District.
There are multiple methods to support the mission of Clothes and Coats for Cuties. Donations can be made through PayPal, Venmo, or credit and debit cards via GoDaddy Payments.
Until November 15, 2024, each gift you make will be matched dollar for dollar, up to 3,000.00 by The Julia & Albert Smith Foundation.
Galena Park ISD is a Title 1 district., which means that there are federally funded programs to enable schools with the highest concentrations of poverty to meet their students' educational needs. To meet the criteria of Title 1, a school district must have no less than 40% of its students from low-income households. Cloverleaf, Green Valley and Woodland Acres Elementary Schools are 100% free lunch schools. Most elementary schools in the district are 75%-91% free lunch schools.
Beginning in 2023/2024 school year, the dress code was changed to jeans and solid color plain shirts due to the financial challenge of purchasing uniforms.

What We've Accomplished in our first few months
In August 2022, Clothes and Coats for Cuties donated 125 new uniforms to Cloverleaf Elementary students. Before the Christmas break, they supplied 39 coats. Uniforms are provided as needed throughout the school year, and coats are donated during the winter. In the winter of 2022, Cloverleaf students received 75 coats. In July 2023, 102 uniforms were given to Cloverleaf Elementary and 98 to Green Valley Elementary. On August 7, 2023, 100 uniforms were handed over to the leadership team at Woodland Acres Elementary. The goal is to support 50 students per school, with aspirations to expand this number in the future.
In the fall of 2022, we delivered 39 coats to Ms. Garcia.
It is time to buy coats for 160+ students for the 2023/2024 school year for Woodland Acres, Cloverleaf, and Green Valley Elementary schools. Please donate today if you can.
